Blogiversary Giveaway!
With all the flurry of activity around here, I completely missed the fact that I started blogging a year ago!
In honor of this very fun hobby, I'm giving away a cookbook from 1959. It's called My Favorite Recipes and was produced by the Staff Home Economists at the Culinary Arts Institute.
I hit a bonanza this summer in collecting mid-century recipe books. I also am still committed to decluttering my home on an ongoing basis, so I wanted to get this book into the hands of someone who would appreciate it.
Here's what you have to do:
- Leave me a comment telling me which topic I've posted about that you've enjoyed most.
- AND
- If you've posted about mid-century cooking on your blog, leave a link in your comment to the post so we can come and see what you did! (If you didn't, that's OK. You'll still be entered for the giveaway by commenting.)
I'll put all the names in a hat and hubby will pull out the winner.
Entries will be accepted through Friday, December 18 at 7pm. I'll announce on Saturday, the 19th.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you say and reading those cooking links!

I think my favorite posts had to do with caring for the "chassis". It encouraged me to take a look at my own routine and I added acouple of things that I'd been neglecting.
I don't have a blog, but I do like to cook. I've not tried vintage meals, though. Perhaps I will!
Oh, I love vintage cookbooks! Actually, I just love vintage-y and home-y things in general, which is why I enjoy your blog so much.

I love vintage cookbooks, too. For the last year I've attempted to cook one vintage meal each week.
I came into your site because of the reupholstery posts. I've never gotten around to doing my couch, though LOL!

I happened upon your blog through a search on retro lifestyle. I so want to get back a little of that era!
I have not tried vintage cooking, but am dying to try!

I loved the Spring Cleaning "episodes" the best! I was inspired and motivated to get my home in shape (okay, I was not as successful as you...) and I spruced up a few rooms!
As far as vintage cooking, I did try your fish casserole recipe. Liked it a lot! I'll not do the Liver Durkee, thanks though!
Have you ever heard of the blog "Vintage Housewife"? It sounds like it would be right up your alley. My sister's blog is called "www.Homesteadwannabes.blogspot.com" She loves vintage stuff, too.
